Jimmie Paris, 76, of Danville passed away on February 4, 2015 peacefully at his home. He was born on January 3, 1939 in Kentland, IN, the son of Robert and Herma (Brown) Paris. He married Sue Ann Gouty on July 15, 1960 and she preceded him in death on July 18, 2006. Jimmie will be deeply missed by one son, Mark Paris of Danville, one daughter, Lori (David) Allison of Bismarck, two grandchildren, Daniel Paris, Cole Allsion and his fishing buddies, Leon Graves and Roy Flagg. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, Tanya Paris, one brother, Edward Paris and two sisters, Sandra Escamella and Earlyne Ritter. Jimmie served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He worked at Heatcraft in Danville as a welder for 46 years before retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Gao Grotto and also the Union Corner United Methodist Church. Fishing, hunting, Cubs baseball, Illini sports and watching his grandchildrens sporting events were his favorite things to do and loved all of them very much. A celebration of Jimmies life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Patti Wise officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:30 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
