Jimmie Lee Roby

God the creator and maker of all things; the forgiver of all things called to rest Jimmie Lee Roby Sr. on Saturday October 1, 2016 at the age of 68 after a long illness. Jimmie was born on March 8, 1948 in Maben, Mississippi to the union of Jimmie and Flora Roby. He is preceded in death by his parents and his step-daughter Angela Farr. Jimmie leaves to cherish his memories his longtime companion Estelle Cooper and his best friend - his dog "Black Boy." He leaves to cherish his memories his two sons Jimmie Roby of Belvidere, IL and Jimmie (China) Roby of Elgin, IL; step-daughters Dorothy Roby of Silvis, IL and Tanisha Farr of Elgin, IL. Three young people who loved him very much Kevin, Keith, and Kandra Cooper all of Champaign, IL; nieces Betty (Clarence) Johnson and Lois Cason of Greenville, MS; sisters Nettie Cason of Greenville, MS and Earline & Pastor Anderson of Indianola, MS; brother Ossie Lee Roby of Indianola, MS; God-daughter Temekia Anderson of Champaign, IL; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Jimmie loved life. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved fishing, traveling, and gardening. He planted a garden each year and harvested it in the fall. Jimmie was a provider and a hardworking person up until he got sick. You will truly be missed by everyone. RIP my love. Gone But Not Forgotten.
