Jim "Jt" Tadlock

Jim “JT” Tadlock, 63, of Rantoul, IL passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Carle Hospital, Urbana, IL. He was born January 1, 1962, to Glenn and Rachel (Gott) Tadlock, the first child of the year for Champaign County!  He married Joyce Hinton and they had 2 daughters, Danielle Tadlock of Mattoon, IL; Deanna Tadlock of Kenosha, WI.  Also surviving are his father Glenn Tadlock of Rantoul, a brother Tim (Joni) Tadlock of Rantoul, a sister Connie (Tim) Duitsman of Rockford, MI, and several furbabies, most notably Sammi. He was preceded in death by his mother. Jim earned his CDL and thoroughly enjoyed his life trucking, viewing much of the country side.  He was admired for his hard work ethic, always offering to help family and friends.  He always thought about others before himself, and was regarded a gentle giant and a teddy bear. Jim had a passion for the St. Louis Cardinals and shared that with his daughters.  He enjoyed working in his yard, listening to music and twice he bowled a 299 game! A Celebration of Life will be held on January 1, 2025, at the Stagecoach, 2203 CR 3000 N, Gifford, a final birthday party to celebrate a loved father, brother and son.  There will be a small service at 2:00 with a gathering following until 4:00.  Please come out and tell a story or raise a toast.
