Jim H. "Albert" Talbert, 53, of Georgetown, passed away 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2005 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born March 23, 1951 in Danville, Illinois, the son of James L. and Helen M. (Cline) Talbert. Jim was raised by Charlie and Helen Taylor. Jim is survived by: his mother- Helen (Charlie) Taylor of Danville; his father- James Talbert of West Lebanon, IN; the mother of his children- Shirley (Rick) Kester of Danville; 3 Children- Stephanie (Greg) Milner of Danville, Stacey (Danny) Cortapassi of Oakwood and James M. Talbert of Danville; 5 grand-daughters- Brook, Brittany, Lexi, Abbi and Maddison; 1 Brother- Steve (Tammy) Talbert of Danville; 1 Sister- Cheryl (Warren) Buck of Danville; his half-sister- Tanzy (Mark) Sturgeon of West Lebanon, IN; 1 Step-Brother- Jed Taylor of Danville; 2 Step-Sisters- Kathy Stitt of Danville and LuAnn Kinney of Oakwood; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special friend- Greg Graves of Danville. His maternal and paternal grandparents, 2 grandchildren, 1 child in infancy and several aunts, uncles and cousins preceded him in death. Jim worked for Norfolk & Southern Railroad for 36 years as a foreman, and was a member of the United Transportation Union (UTU). He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Danville Moose Lodge #1001, and H.O.G. (Harley Owner's Group). Jim loved fishing and was looking forward to his annual trip with his brother and friends. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, his dog - "BO", and loved riding his Harley. He was an avid Bears, Cubs and Illini fan, and also took his children to watch stockcar racing when they were little. Jim along with his brother was the chef at the annual family cook-out. "Jim most enjoyed spending time with and playing with his grandchildren. His family will miss his smile, his laugh, and his "napping belly", but most of all his mother will miss his nightly 9:00 pm phone calls".
