Jim A. Pollard

Dana, Ind. - Jim Pollard, 54, of rural Dana, passed away at 9:11 a.m. EDT Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born on March 13, 1964 in Danville, Illinois the son of the late Morris C. and Donna J. (Dolbee) Pollard.

Jim married Darla J. Dodson on February 2, 1986 in Quaker, Indiana. She survives.

Other survivors include his children, Maranda J. (Joel) Contreras of Newport, Indiana; Jennifer (Zachery) Zanandrea of Centenary, Indiana, and Justan (Jamie) Pollard of Dana, Indiana; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Cathy (Bruce) Shaw of Kokomo, Indiana, and Lori (Kevin) Roberts of Monticello, Indiana, and one brother, David (Ruth) Pollard of Dana, Indiana.

Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Lee Pollard, and infant brother.

Jim formerly worked at Hyster and North American Lighting. He was a member of the Local 703 in Urbana, Illinois. Jim was a 1983 graduate of North Vermillion High School. He enjoyed fishing, mushrooming, riding his four-wheeler and spending time with his family.

Funeral services: 1 p.m. EDT Monday, March 26, 2018 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Burial: Michaels Cemetery in Indianola, Illinois; Visitation: Noon EDT Monday, March 26, 2018 until time of services.
