Jessie A. Thomas

Jessie A. Thomas, 87, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was born on June 10, 1930 to Mike and Eveline Pichon, they preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons Mark Thomas of Champaign, Jon Thomas of Savoy, and David (Melinda) Thomas of St. Charles, IL; four grandchildren, Carrie, Ryan, Matthew, and Andy Thomas; two great grandchildren; and two sisters, Martha Jane Millikan from Kansas and Myrna Pichon Nein from Lynchburg, VA. Jessie worked for Illinois Bell (AT&T) from 1948 to 1983. She was also a Beauty Operator and worked evenings and weekends for many years while raising three sons. Jessie's passion was dancing. She loved everything about dancing. When she wasn't dancing she spent her time helping older people with transportation and delivering meals to them. Jessie was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday April 06, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Raymie Gordon. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Danville at a later date.
