Kingman, Ind. -- Jesse L. Bowling, 76, of Kingman, passed away at 12:55 a.m. EST Wednesday (November 15, 2006) at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born July 20, 1930, in Cates, Indiana, the son of the late Arthur Monroe and Grace Iva Harvey Bowling. He married Iola A. Garrison on December 7, 1956 in Kingman, Indiana. She preceded him in death on April 7, 1999. Survivors include three sons: John(Mary Jo)Bowling of Kingman, Indiana; Sohn(Cyndi)Bowling of Harveysburg, Indiana and Samuel(Shannon)Bowling of Kingman, Indiana; nine grandchildren and one great grandson and three great granddaughters; four brothers: Bob(Barbara)Nolan of Newtown, Indiana; Art Bowling of Covington, Indiana; Bill(Pat)Bowling of Veedersburg, Indiana and Donnie Bowling of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Jesse retired from P.S.I. Energy in Cayuga, Indiana in 1994. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Army. Jesse attended the Kingman Christian Church and was a member of the Kingman American Legion Post # 384. He enjoyed helping the Boy Scouts and coaching little league baseball in the Kingman area.
