Jerry W. 'Whiskey' Vallangeon

Jerry W. "Whiskey" Vallangeon, 66, of Danville, passed away at 9:45pm, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Gardenview Manor Nursing Home, Danville. He was born on October 28, 1951, in Danville, IL, the son of Andre and Doris {Dunwooodie} Vallangeon. He is survived by: his brother, Terry (Debbie) Vallangeon of Westville; his sisters, Mary (Vince) Johnson of Indianola & Judy (Steve) Nolen of Westville; and his many nieces & nephews, whom he was very fond of. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sherry McNeese. Jerry formerly worked for Schueck Construction at NuCor Steel in Crawfordsville, IN. He enjoyed small-game hunting, fishing, camping, loved being outdoors and working crossword puzzles. Jerry loved spending time with his family and friends who will miss him dearly. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 6:00pm, Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St., Westville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesday prior to his service at the funeral home. As per his wishes, he will be cremated.
