Jerry Shirey

Jerry Lou Kistler Shirey, 80, died on March 27, 2017, at her daughter's home in Maroa, IL, surrounded by her family. She was born August 27, 1936, in Warren, Ohio, to Clarabelle and Gerald Kistler. She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and Ohio University. She is survived by two sons David Addison (Jennie) and Michael Garrett (Beth Murphy); daughter Jill (Nic) Showalter; a grandson, William Taylor Shirey (Kassie); six granddaughters, Elizabeth Elston Shirey, Hannah Cecil Showalter, Laura Blair Shirey, Brooke Chaplin Shirey, Sarah Wilson Showalter, Danielle Claire Shirey; and three great-grandchildren, Hayden Keith Shirey, Elijah Albert Washington, and Blair Elizabeth Shirey. She is also survived by her beloved sister Beverly Jane (Paul) Wilson, her niece Jennifer Lynn (Patrick) Hewitt, and her constant companion, her dog Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, D. Keith Shirey. A memorial celebration of Jerry's life will be on Monday, April 17 at Turtle Run Golf and Banquet Center in Danville, IL. Friends and family are welcome to gather from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Memorial Service to follow at 1 p.m. Cremains to be interred in Turtle Run's Circle of Remembrance.
