Jerry Kay Crawford

Danville - Jerry Kay Crawford, Age 81, of Danville, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2023.

Jerry Kay was born May 1, 1941, in Danville, IL. She is the daughter of Fay and Eileen (Jackson) Justice.

She was previously married to Jerry Nesbitt in 1960 and out of that marriage they had two children, Randall Allen Nesbitt and Tamara Faye Williams.

She later married David Crawford on October 10, 1998. He preceded her in death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and step-brother Paul Justice.

She graduated from Bismarck High School. During High School, she worked at Suttons Root Beer Stand and later at R&S Printing. For several years, she worked for New Horizon Credit Union as a teller and data processor. She retired from New Horizon Credit Union in 2008.

She was a member of Bowman Avenue United Methodist Church where she served on several committees and sang in the choir. Her greatest joys were spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends.

She is survived by her children, Randy Nesbitt and Tammy (Scott) Williams; three Grandchildren, Ryan Nesbitt, Austin (Katie) Williams, and Haley Williams; one Brother, Bill (Jan) Justice; niece, Laurie Justice, nephew Brad (Shyaen) Justice and great-nephew, Lincoln Justice.

A service to celebrate the life of Jerry Kay Crawford will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, April 27, 2023, also at Sunset in Danville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jerrys name to the Bowman Avenue United Methodist Church or a charity of the donors choice.
