Jerry E Snook

Urbana - Jerry E. Snook, 74, passed away on Friday August 12, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born on March 1, 1942 in Urbana, the son of Lawrence and Dorothy (Edwards) Snook. Jerry married Carolyn Mays on May 29, 2015 in Urbana. Jerry is survived by his wife; daughter Lisa Harker; grandchildren Andrew (Terrie) Bready, Adam (Jenny) Bready, and Aaron (Kelsey) Bready; great-grandchildren Mackenzie Cooley and Hopelynn Owens; and close friend Danny Britt. He is preceded in death by his parents and former wife Mary Anita Snook. Jerry enjoyed shooting BB guns, doing yard work, playing in the shed, fishing, and sitting by the fire. He loved wildlife and loved his three cats Snookie, Toby, and Flash. Jerry always had a good attitude; he was well liked and enjoyed being with people. Cremation rites have been allocated through Sunset Funeral Home 710 N. Neil Street Champaign, IL. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date at Danville National Cemetery.
