Jerry Collison, 71, of Danville passed away at 3:45 AM on September 8, 2023 at OSF St Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.

Jerry was born on April 9, 1952 the son of Forrest and Evelyn (Thatcher) Collison in Danville, IL. He married Shirley Roulanie on February 15, 1975 in Danville, IL and she preceded him in death on July 17, 2019.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Heather (Roy Priest) Kratzer of Danville, IL, three grandchildren, Jeffrey Kratzer of Council Grove, KS, Elizabeth Kratzer of Dwight, KS and Sadeina Priest of Danville, IL, as well as one sibling, Joe (Susie) Collison of Veedersburg, IN.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley Collison and one daughter, Sadeina Collison, his twin brother, Terry Collison and his sister Eunice Sands.

Jerry attended the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene and the Veedersburg Church of God. He retired from PepsiCo after 45 years of service and most recently worked at the Noodle Factory in Georgetown, IL. Jerry loved his family dearly and would do anything for them. He was a family man that worked hard, stayed busy, and made sure his family was always taken care of.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834. Pastors Gary Farris and Mike Flowers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Jerrys memory to the charity of the donors choice.
