Jerry Carl Binkley, 52, of Danville, passed away on Monday, May 5th, 2008, at Provena USMC, Danville. He was born on October 28th, 1955, in Danville, IL, the son of Jerald E. and Shirley (Mills) Binkley. He was united in marriage to Juliann Boyer on July 4th, 1996, in Westville. Those who will miss him dearly include: his wife, Juliann Binkley of Danville; his parents, Jerald & Shirley Binkley of Ridge Farm; his son, Joshua Q. Binkley of Danville; his siblings, Jeffrey (Susan) Binkley of Houghton, MI, Annette (Bret) Heim of Mobile, AL, & Amy (Loch) Chandler of Scappoose, OR; his brothers-in-law, Fredrick Boyer of Ridge Farm & Richard (Kara) Boyer of Danville; his sisters-in-law, Linda Kiger of Tilton & Cynthia (Philip) Henschen of Georgetown; and his nieces & nephews, whom he was very proud of. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven. He was a graduate of Ridge Farm High School in 1973. He received his Bachelors Degree in Industrial Arts from Eastern Illinois University. He was a member of the Vermilion Grove Friends Meeting and Cedar Grove Church in Danville. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, caring for his Christmas trees that he had planted on his property, but most of all he cherished his family. He was gentle and trusting person and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Jerrys life will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, May 8th, 2008, at Vermilion Grove Friends Meeting, Ridge Farm. Max Reese will officiate. Visitation will be held 9am to 11am, Thursday before the service at the church. He will be laid to rest in Vermilion Grove Cemetery. Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be given in Jerrys name to Forest Glen Nature Preserve or Vermilion Grove Friends Meeting.
