Jerry Renard Biedermann, 98, of Danville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025. at The Village of Avon in Avon, Indiana.
Jerry was born in Danville, Illinois on March 6, 1926. He was the son of John H. and Helen M. Renard Biedermann. He graduated from Danville High School in 1944 and enlisted in the United States Navy on February 12, 1944. He served during World War II on the USS LST 949 until July 4, 1946 when he was honorably discharged with the rank of Electrician’s Mate 2nd Class (EM2c). He returned to Danville where he worked for the Esco Corporation until his retirement in 1991. Jerry married his wife, Margaret Josephine Stacey on October 9, 1971 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Biedermann and Helen Miller Renard Biedermann; his brother, John Brent Biedermann and sister-in-law Juanita Longer Biedermann; his sister Jeanne Anne Biedermann Gilbreath and brother-in-law Raymond Gilbreath; his wife of 27 years, Margaret Josephine Stacey Biedermann; his niece, Wendy Biedermann Salater; and his lifelong friend Katherine Ross.
Survivors include two nephews, John K. Biedermann and Robert Gilbreath; three nieces, Jo Ann Biedermann, Carol Biedermann, and Mae Gilbreath Fleischer; several great nephews and great nieces; as well as several great great nephews and great great nieces.
A graveside service for family, will be held at 11 am on Saturday February 22, 2025, at the Atherton Cemetery in Danville, Illinois.
