Jeremy R. Shank, 40, of Danville, IL passed away at 10:09 PM on December 10, 2022 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL.

Jeremy was born on August 3, 1982 the son of Richard and Debra (Weir) Shank in Danville, IL.

Jeremy is survived by his mother, Debra (Ed) Boles of Markleville, IN, his siblings, Jason (Chelsea) Shank of Danville, IL, Andrea (Justin) Groome of Pendleton, IN, and Brandon Boles of Yorktown, IN, maternal grandfather, Jerry Weir of Bedford, IN, nieces, McKenna Shank and Raegan Freeman and nephews, Jeordie Shank and Shane Brown, aunts and uncles, Bill and Sherri Shank of Danville, IL Scott and Tammy Weir of Monroe Center, IL and Susan and Mike Fry of Bedford, IN, closest friend, Rachel WalKaufson of Normal, IL, and special friends, Joel Manning of Danville, IL and his hospice nurse, Marjorie Abrajano.

Jeremy is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, maternal grandmother, and his father, Richard Shank.

Jeremy worked at Menards and recently received the Employee of the Month Award. He loved his goldendoodle, "Teddy" and rabbit, "Cadbury" dearly and enjoyed playing video games, especially the game Kirby, attending the Festival of Trees events and going to Royal Donut. Most of all, Jeremy loved being an uncle.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday December 14, 2022 at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N Bowman Avenue, Danville, IL 61832. Visitation will be on Wednesday December 14, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.

Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, Illinois 61832 is assisting the family with arrangements.
