Jeremiah was proceeded in death by his grandfather Richard Thayer, brother David Lee Thayer Jr, and two cousins Johnathon Loschen and Anthony Pivacek.
Jeremiah was a devoted father, cherished son, and loyal brother. His greatest accomplishment and the love of his life was his daughter Harmony Thayer. He worked for Crane Rolloff for many years. He enjoyed working in his yard, mushroom hunting, riding his 4-wheeler, and hanging out with his friends down by the river. He had a way of making people he cared for feel better with a well-timed joke or great piece of advice. His favorite saying was, “I stroke the checks!!!”. He was always willing to help others and showed up for the ones he loved. His strength was steady, his kindness constant, and his love for his family unmatched. He taught us to laugh through hard times, to give without hesitation, and to love without limits.
A celebration of life will take place at Sunset Funeral Home Urbas Chapel, 414 S. State st, Westville Il 61883 on Tuesday September 30, 2025, at 2 pm with a gathering to follow at the Westville American Legion. Memorial donations can be written to Sunset Funeral Home to aid in funeral expenses.
