Jenna Lee Thompson

Jenna Lee Thompson, born on November 1, 2002, in Champaign, Illinois, departed this life on Saturday December 13, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois. Jenna's spirited personality illuminated the lives of those around her. She was more than just a beloved daughter, sister, and friend; she was a vibrant social butterfly who brought joy to every gathering with her infectious laughter and unwavering love for life.

From a young age, Jenna displayed a talent and passion for music, having played the violin as a child. Her artistic spirit was apparent not only in her musical endeavors but also in her enjoyment of fashion, as she took great pride in her shoes and clothes. Jenna cherished her connections, being known to anyone she met as someone who never knew a stranger. Her friendships flourished, leaving her with an extensive circle who will miss her dearly.

Traveling sparked joy in Jenna's heart, alongside her love for sleeping in and savoring the perfect cup of coffee. She had a profound affection for animals, taking the time to volunteer at Prairie Farms Petting Zoo, where her fondness for goats was well-known. She cherished the beauty of the city of Chicago, where she lived and created lasting memories.

Throughout her life, Jenna shared a special bond with her little brother, Liam Christopher Soberalski, whom she adored unequivocally. She also held close to her heart her sister, Anna Marie Thompson, her brother Ethan Michael Thompson, and her goddaughter, Zuri. Her family, including parents Doyle (Danielle) Thompson and Kathy (Christopher) Thompson, and beloved grandmother, Lynda Thompson, will forever treasure the moments spent with her. The love extended to many aunts and uncles adds to the rich tapestry of her family, who lovingly supported her throughout her journey.

Jenna's life was tragically marked by the loss of her baby girl, Isla Lee Clark, and her loving grandfathers, Doyle Thompson Sr. and Earl Foster. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother Karen Foster, great-grandparents Ann & Jerry Kagels, Ray & Anita Kyle, Buddy Lee, and Shirley Thompson. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and their memories will continue to resonate with her family.
