Jefrey Scot Banks

Jefrey Scot Banks, 68, of Westville, passed away at 9:35pm, Monday, May 16, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. He was born on November 14, 1953, in Coco Beach, Florida, the son of Richard and Rose {Harrier} Banks. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Shernock on December 3, 2010. She survives. He is also survived by his mother, Rose Banks; his daughters, Angie (Jacob) Banks Baker, and Brook Banks; his stepdaughter, Sarah Ell; his grandchildren, Shawn, Amanda, and Levi; his brother, Dirk (Kristi) Banks; and his step-animals, JJ, & Sammy. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Banks, and step-cat, Elliot. Jefrey was a proud Veteran of the US Navy and served for 22-plus years. He was a Cryptologic Technician CTR1. He enjoyed being out in nature, especially going golfing, working on cars, and riding Harleys. He was a member of the American Legion Honor Guard. Private Family services will be held. He will be laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery with Military Rites conducted.
