Jeffrey Edwards, Sr.

Tilton - Jeffrey Edwards, Sr, 70, of Tilton passed away at 1:20 PM on August 20, 2023 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Jeff was born on December 13, 1952 the son of Harry Benjamin and Elizabeth (Rebmann) Edwards in Danville, IL. He married Laura Sellers on March 4, 1995 in Danville, IL and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Edwards of Tilton, IL, his children, Lisa (Beau Truelove) Pratt of Chrisman, IL, Jeffrey (Holly) Edwards, Jr of Potomac, IL, and Melanie (Chad Jumps) Davenport of Westville, IL, five grandchildren, Dustin Edwards, Zoey Anderson, Zachary Edwards, Anjel Johnson and Ryan Edwards and six great grandchildren.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jill Neubig and Jo Lomax.

Jeff retired from Flex-In-Gate after 33 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR fan, cheering for Kevin Harvick, and was also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching westerns on television.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Randy Holden will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family has kindly requested that casual sports teams attire be worn in honor of Jeff.

Memorials may be made in Jeffs memory to the American Heart Association, C.A.R.A. animal shelter or the Humane Society.
