Jeffrey E. Richardson, 50, of Thomasboro, IL, formerly of Oakwood, passed away at 11:24am on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, with his children and friends by his side, following a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure. Jeff was born October 18, 1960 in Danville, IL. He was the son of Joseph Christopher "Doc" Richardson and Alice Hafner. He is survived by his mother, his daughter; Shanelle Richardson of Champaign, IL, his son; J. Christopher Richardson of Oakwood, and his brother; Mike Price of Danville. He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother; Gary Price. Jeff graduated from Oakwood High School and served 28 years employment with Fisher Farmers Grain/Premier Cooperative Inc, in Thomasboro. He was most happy outdoors, at the races, or hanging out with his family and friends. He enjoyed working alongside the farming community, listening to country music on his radio, and spoiling his grand dog, "Bentley". A Celebration of Life Service for Jeff Richardson will be at 1:00pm on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Sunset's Oakwood Chapel located at 105 East South Main Street in Oakwood, IL with burial immediately following at Oakhill Cemetery, west of Bates town Rd@ Kiesler Hill, Danville. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00am until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
