Jeffrey L. Baldwin

Jeffrey L. Baldwin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 13, 2025, in Urbana, Illinois. He was born on March 21, 1960, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and grew to embody the spirit of family and community throughout his life.

Jeff will be remembered as a devoted husband to Laura, with whom he shared 18 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventures, often traveling in their RV to explore new places and make lasting memories. His passion for life extended to his hobbies; he was an avid fan of the Indiana Colts, NASCAR, and the Indiana Pacers, often immersing himself in the excitement of each game or race.

As a family man at heart, Jeffrey was proud of his children, Arlen Baldwin, Justin Baldwin, and Brigitte Williams (Tyrus). His legacy is carried on by ten cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of whom he adored and treasured deeply. His dedication to his family was unwavering, and he viewed every moment spent with them as a gift.

He is also survived by his loving mother Phyllis Baldwin and sister, Sheliah Richey, who held a special place in his life.

Jeff was preceded in death by his birth parents, Kermit Baldwin and Anna Wilmouth, and his brother, David Baldwin. He was also predeceased by Jack Wilmoth, who played significant role in his upbringing.

A visitation in honor of Jeffrey L. Baldwin will take place on Tuesday December 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center's Lux Chapel, located at 1551 E Grove Ave, Rantoul, Illinois. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held on the same day, commencing at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM.
