Jeff Steinbaugh

Jeff Steinbaugh, 56, of Danville, passed away at 9:34 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2008 at his home. Jeff was born on September 19, 1951 in Danville, the son of Harlan D. and Norma J. (Golden) Steinbaugh. He married Cathy Smith on September 9, 1973 at Farmers Chapel Church in Danville. She survives. He is also survived by his mother- Norma (James W.) White of Bismarck; two sons- Andy Steinbaugh of Danville and Mike Steinbaugh of OFallon, Illinois; two daughters- Joanna (Brad) Howard of Covington, Indiana and Jenny (Rick) Huffman of Danville; one granddaughter- Lucy Howard of Covington; four brothers- Jim (Wynne) Steinbaugh, Mark (Teresa) Steinbaugh and Matt (Shirley) Steinbaugh all of Bismarck and Tim (Amy) Steinbaugh of Danville; one sister- Julie (Scott) Boersma of Bismarck; and several nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded in death by his father. Jeff graduated from Bismarck-Henning High School in 1969. After high school he attended some classes at DACC. Jeff worked for several years at Case IH in Danville and Prillaman Implement in Potomac. He has worked at Ameren IP for the last 27 years as a gas journeyman. He attended Crossroads Christian Church. Jeff was a past member of Bismarck Lions Club, Vermilion County Fair Board, Bismarck-Henning School Board and past volunteer firefighter in Bismarck. Jeff was a life-long member of the Steak and Shake golden cup club. He enjoyed farming and going to tractor shows. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Jeff will be sadly missed by his family and friends and all who knew him. A Celebration of his Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Gundy Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
