Jeanne Reeves Nasados

Jeanne Reeves Nasados went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2017 in Dunedin, FL. Jeanne, the daughter of the late LaVerne "Red" and Marie Chandler was born May 13, 1933 in Hume, IL. She graduated from Allerton High School in 1951, and married the late Charles Reeves in 1954. In 1982 she married the late Joseph Nasados. Jeanne loved her family and leaves her three daughters - Denise Reeves Melo (Mario), Kimberly Reeves Gordon (Mike) and Gayle Reeves Hoock. Her grandchildren and great grandchild include Ashley Gordon Badger (Kevin) and Evalyn, Justin Gordon (Liz), Patrick Melo and Marcus and Kurtis Hoock. Step grandchildren and great grandchildren are Karla Washburn and Mario Melo (Michelle), Sienna, Sophia and Mariella. She also leaves her surviving brother Robert Chandler. Jeanne graduated from Lakeview School of Nursing in 1954 and Danville Beauty School in 1962. She had a long, rewarding nursing career working in a variety of clinical settings. She eventually retired from the Danville VA Medical Center after 26 years of Psychiatric Nursing. Jeanne was a wonderful mother and planned her life around her three girls. She was also an active member of community organizations such as Danville Jr. Women's Club and often served as Chairperson. She was well known by her family for her cooking, baking and candy making. Singing, dancing, golfing and genealogy were other pastimes she enjoyed. She was always busy entertaining her many friends and family. In 2009 she and Joe moved to Dunedin, FL. where she was an active member of the Heather Lakes Condo Association. Jeanne touched many lives in both IL and FL and will be sorely missed. She is best remembered for her kind, caring nature and willingness to reach out to anyone in need. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation center in Danville. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Heidle officiating. Burial will take place at Springhill Cemetery in Danville.
