Jeannette Jeanne Frances Foster, 80, of Armstrong, Illinois, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2007 at Country Health Nursing Home in Gifford, Illinois. Jeanne was born on December 18, 1926 in Cumberland, Indiana, the daughter of Jonathan and Mrytle (Madden) Foltz. She married William George Foster in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 18, 1947. He survives. She is survived by her husband George Foster of Armstrong; daughter- Kathryn (Thomas) Miller of Ooltewah, Tennessee, son Kevin (Palema) Foster of Armstrong, Illinois, one brotherRobert (Ruth) Foltz of Speedway, Indiana; two sisters- Jacquelyn (James) Cordell of Smithtown, New York and Renee Stevens of Indianapolis, Indiana. Jeanne also leaves six grandchildren- Jason Gaylord of Winder Georgia, Tracy Moyer of Atlanta, Georgia, David (Priscilla) Foster of Hesperia, California, Michelynne (Tim) McNeeley of Richardson, Texas, Robin (Michael) Brantley of London, England, Justin (Stacey) Miller of Atlanta, Georgia, and four great-grandchildren, Graham, Lauren, Ivan, and Issac. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers- Paul P. Foltz and Marion W. Foltz and sisters- Florence M. Shell and Winifred V. Sipf all of Indianapolis. Jeanne graduated from Tech High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked as a medical secretary for Eli Lilly and Company from 1966 until her retirement in 1986. Jeanne and George retired to the family farm in Armstrong, Illinois in 1996. A Tribute to the Life of Jeanette Jeanne Frances Foster will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday. February 16, 2007 at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center in Danville (formerly Lakeside-Barrick Funeral Home), with Pastor Ted Rohde officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Thursday at the tribute center. Burial will be held at Partlow Cemetery in Armstrong, Illinois.
