Jeanette Taylor

Jeanette Taylor, 80, of Attica, Indiana, passed away at her home on Saturday October 19, 2024. Jeanette was born the daughter of Carl and Ruby (Wright) Phillips on July 6, 1944, in Quitman, Arkansas. Jeanette married the love of her life Gary Taylor on September 2, 1961, and they enjoyed their time together till his passing.

Jeanette leaves behind her children, Allen, and Phillip (Angela) Taylor, her grandchildren, Aaron (Courtney) Taylor, Alyssa (Lukas Allison) Taylor, Phillip (Marde) Taylor Jr., and Michelle (Channing) Potter, her great grandchildren, Kylee, Alex, Carlin, Emmerson, Blaine, Raiden, Lillian, Mason, Kelsi, Haven, and Hunter.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary, two brothers, Jim, and Bob Phillips, one sister Inez Phillips and one great grandson James Church.

Jeanette worked at GE for many years before working at Steel Grip. She enjoyed sports rather it was watching the Pacers, anything IU or the Cubs she enjoyed cheering on her team. Jeanette also did word searches, loved to read, and always enjoyed cooking for her family and eating a hamburger. Most of all it was the times that she spent with her family that always made her happy.

A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held at 6pm, Wednesday October 23, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 420 3rd street Covington, Indiana, 47932. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 4-6pm. Cremation rights will be accorded per Jeanette’s wishes, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
