Dana, Ind. -- Jean S. Miller, 87, of Dana, passed away at 7:15 a.m. EDT Thursday (September 14, 2006) at her daughter's house in rural Dana, Indiana. She was born April 12, 1919, in Florence, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Percy and Alice Kohler Spencer. She married William H. Miller on June 9, 1939 in Florence, New Jersey. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1964. Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara(Aaron)Harvey and Roslyn Smith both of Dana, Ind.; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister. Jean worked for Sears, Roebuck & Company for 27 years before retiring. She attended the First Baptist Church of Delray Beach, Florida. She was a 1937 graduate of Bordentown High School in Bordentown, New Jersey. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. Funeral Services: 11a.m. EDT Monday, September 18, 2006 at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Ind.; Officiating: Rev. William Lehman; Burial: Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Ind.; Visitation: Monday, September 18, 2006 from 10 a.m. EDT till time of services at the funeral home.
