Jean Pate

Jean H. Pate, 71, of Danville passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Hawthorne Inn. She was born on February 8, 1947, the daughter of William and Anna Smoot. She married Everett V. Pate on May 29, 1965 in Danville, he survives. Also surviving include one son, Vincent Eugene (Lisa) Pate of Kingman, IN; one daughter, Lorie Ann (Ronnie Hoshauer) Pate of Fithian; grandchildren, Chelsey Anna Hoshauer, Bethany Leagha (Collin) Rattenni of Largo, FL; Jilleann Grace Pate, and Cale William Vincent Pate; one brother, Robert (Mary) Smoot of Danville; special friends Mike Carpenter, Brian Helper, Jake Cooley, and several other special family and friends. Preceding Jean in death include both of her parents, two brothers, and four sisters. Jean loved to garden, she especially loved flowers. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday June 02, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Raymie Gordon. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held the evening prior from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday June 01, 2018 at the funeral home.
