Jean Keefer

Jean Ann Keefer, 91, of Danville, Illinois passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 in Danville. Born March 15, 1929 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Arthur and Amy (McConnochie) Frerking.

Jean married the late Robert "Bob" Leslie Keefer Jr. and together they had four daughters: Debra (Tom) Cline, Gayle (Alan) Palfi, Kari Connelly (John Williams), and Cheryl (Steve) Clapp.

A graduate of Utterback Business College in Danville, Jean worked as a switchboard operator at Lakeview Hospital. In later years, she helped care for the elderly. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Nothing brought her as much joy as spending time with her family. You could often find her enjoying a cup of coffee and conversation.

In addition to her daughters, she is survived by her brother William Frerking of Peoria, Illinois; grandchildren Callie (Cline) Honeysuckle, Heather Keefer, Britney (Clapp) Downs, Brandon Clapp, and Chase Connelly; and great-grandchildren Marriah, Marcus, Marceline, Marshall, Elle, Garner, Samuel, and Lilly.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, services for Jean will be private. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois 3940 N. Vermilion Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with her arrangements.
