Jean Horn

Jean M. Horn, 77, of Danville died on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born September 12, 1928 in Danville, IL the daughter of Russell and Nell (Wilson) Dempsey. Jean is survived by one son: Brian Horn of Danville; four daughters: Phyllis (Bill) Garrett of Danville, Sue (Joe) Brumett of Alvin, IL, Ruth Ann Horn of Danville, Kathy (Jay) Roberts of Danville; five grandchildren: Jason Brumett of Alvin, IL, Nicole Garrett of Danville, Phillip Garrett of Tampa, FL, Myanne Compton of Danville, KateLyn Roberts of Danville; four step grandchildren: Buffi Harrington, Michael Brumett, Jason Roberts, Tara Roberts; two great grandchildren: Paytton and Keytton Garrett of Danville; a very best friend Judi Swider and many other special friends too numerous to mention; also her beloved dog Honey. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Scott Horn, one sister: Rita Winter; and one step grandson: Joey Brumett. Jean graduated from Danville High. She worked as a telephone operator for Illinois Bell and then for 21 years as a sales Clerk for Convenient Food Mart until her retirement in 1998. She was a member of the First Congregation Church. Jean never missed watching the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed setting outside with her many special friends and she mostly enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
