Jean A. Frazier, age 80, of Danville, passed away at 8:05 am on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born May 26, 1928 in Perrysville, IN the daughter of David M. and Edna (Richardson) Hanna. Jean is survived by two sons: Gary Frazier of Decatur, IL, Michael (Pam) Frazier of Arlington, Texas; two daughters: Sherree Cockrell of Danville, Jackie (Julian) Mijol of Trophy Club, Texas; one step daughter: Cathy Brumfield of Anderson, IN; two sisters: Lois Hansen of Covington, IN, Marie Samulowitz of Lafayette, IN; one sister-in-law: Betty Hanna of Perrysville, IN; seven grandchildren: Cameron and Ford Frazier, Ally, Dani, and Ben Mijol, Hanna and Tanner Cockrell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Dale Hanna; three sisters: June Adams, Joan Dixon, LaVerne Garretson; and Frank Frazier. Jean attended Indiana University and graduated with a bachelors degree in education from Indiana State University. She was a proud alumnus of Indiana University and was an avid fan of IU basketball. Jean taught elementary students in Indianapolis, IN and Danville, which included Liberty, Roselawn, Northeast, Fairchild and Cannon schools. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and traveling, sometimes taking the scenic route. Jean loved spending time with her family and friends. She is happily being greeted by her siblings, sharing a laugh as we shed our tears. Jean has donated her body to the Anatomical Society of Illinois. A celebration of the life of Jean Frazier will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Sunsets Community & Life Tribute Center (formerly Lakeside-Barrick Funeral Home) 3550 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL. Memorial donations may be made in Jeans name to the Autism Foundation or American Lung Association.
