Jean Evelyn Ruth Helen Andrysiak

Newport, Ind. - Jean Evelyn Ruth Helen Andrysiak, 81, of Newport, passed away at 1:54 a.m. EST Monday, January 24, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born June 7, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late George F. and Clara (Lakosik) Andel.

Jean married Sheldon Joseph Andrysiak on January 30, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1975.

Survivors include her children: Bret (Tammy) Andrysiak of Shell Lake, Wisconsin; Bart Andrysiak of Newport, Indiana and Gina (Mike) Threm of Las Vega, Nevada; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and one brother: George F. Andel, II of South Dakota.

Jean was a homemaker and of Lutheran Faith. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana. There will be no local services. Burial: Monday, January 31, 2022 at Fairview Memorial Park in Northlake, Illinois.
