Jason W. Oakes

Jason W. Oakes, 45, of Mahomet passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. He was born in Peoria, IL on May 18, 1978, the son of Bill and Cindy Oakes. Jason married Kristin Fago on July 25, 2022, she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Jalen (Sam) Oakes, and Miya Oakes; stepchildren, Tommy Jordan, and Brentley Jordan; brother, Nick Oakes; sister-in-law, Nicole (Justin) Ernst, and their sons, Rhett Ernst, Thadd Ernst, Tripp Ernst, as well as his beloved dog, Rosco P.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Smith.

Jason worked in concrete construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outside, riding his motorcycle and driving his RC Car. Jason also loved spending time with his son, Jalen, and nephews, Rhett, Thadd, and Tripp who referred to him as Uncle Spidee.

A Celebration of Jasons life will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sunsets Mahomet Chapel 1102 Churchill Rd. Mahomet, IL.
