Jason P. Vogelbaugh

Jason P. Vogelbaugh, 49, of Mahomet, passed away on September 23, 2023. He was born in Moline, IL on December 31, 1973. He married the love of his life, Kelly (Wilson) Vogelbaugh in June 2011, and they have two sons, Nicholas and Charlie Vogelbaugh, they survive.

Jason is also survived by his stepmother, Nancy Duffy, uncle, Bill (Ron Hammond) Vogelbaugh; brother-in-law, Doug (Kristie) Wilson, Scott Wilson; nephews, Hunter (Kelsey) Wilson, Zach Wilson, niece, Kaitlyn Schaffitzel and cousin, Troy (Alicia) Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ken Vogelbaugh, and Susan Goldenzoph, and grandparents, Orville and Mary Vogelbaugh.

Jason was a kind and driven person, and life-long Cubs and Bears fan. He received dual masters degrees in architecture and civil engineering from the University of Illinois and worked forAlpha Controls and Services for over 20 years, earning the title of Director of Business Development. He enjoyed staying active and played a variety of sports including golf, swimming, skiing, basketball, and softball. Although, there was nothing he loved more than spending time with his boys, Nicholas, and Charlie. He cherished the memories made with them, from watching them grow up, to coaching their traveling baseball team and various recreational leagues, he was always available to offer advice and encouragement. Whether he was traveling with his wife, sitting around a campfire with friends or helping someone in need, Jason touched the hearts of many people. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

A Celebration of Jasons life will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Sunsets Mahomet Chapel 1102 Churchill Rd. Mahomet, IL 61853.
