Jason K. Sorenson

Danville Jason K. Sorenson, 44, of Danville, IL passed away at 9:14 AM on June 11, 2020 in Danville.

Jason was born on January 2, 1976 the son of Jerome M. and Debra S. (Rulo) Sorenson in Potosi, MO. He married Catherine Porter on April 15, 2001 in Danville, IL and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Porter of Danville, two sons, Jabie Sorenson of Georgetown, IL and Jamie Sorenson of Florida, his father, Jerry Sorenson of Ridge Farm, one brother, Brian (Sunny) Sorenson of Texas, one sister, Rebecca (Nicholas) Holwey of Danville, maternal grandmother, Florence (Warren) Scott of Mineral Point, MO as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jason is preceded in death by his mother, Debra Sorenson, paternal grandparents, Guy E. and Sally A. Sorenson and maternal grandfather.

Jason worked in the construction trades and enjoyed spending his free time fishing, searching for and collecting antiques and was an excellent baker. He was always baking sweet treats for those he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

A private family Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday June 22, 2020 from 9:00 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Cremation rites will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Judes Childrens Research Hospital
