Jarrett Jaymes Levette, 35, of Danville, Illinois, formerly of Henning, Illinois, died peacefully in his home on May 16, 2025 at 6:58 a.m.
Jarrett was born on July 23rd, 1989 in Greensboro, North Carolina, the son of Ellen D. Thatcher and James E. Levette Sr. He was raised in Henning, Illinois with his grandparents John and Mary Thacher. He loved his family, but not as much as he loved to tell stories.
Jarrett graduated from Bismarck Henning High School with the Class of 2008. He excelled in wrestling and football for all four years of his high school career. Jarrett participated in local MMA matches after High School.
He started his career at McLane as a yard switcher. Jarrett was an entrepreneur and dabbled in multiple crafts. Jarrett truly loved to game on his PS5, especially Call of Duty with his brother. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, hunting, and of course, sharing stories. His family will miss his good-natured ornery demeanor that kept everyone on their toes.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Levette Sr., his and uncle Terry Lake.
Jarrett is survived by his sons and daughter: Braxton Levette, Parker Levette, Paisley Levette; his mother Ellen D. Thacher; his sisters Whitney (husband: Arnold) Levette-Andrade and Harmony Levette; and his brothers Terrance Jackson and James Edward Levette Jr. He is also survived by his grandparents John and Mary Thacher; his uncle Greg Thacher; his nieces and nephews Jayleigh Levette-Creamer, Rachel Boothe, Jenesis Levette-Creamer, Forrest Moody, Jericka Levette-Creamer, and Jeremiah Levette-Creamer. All will miss him dearly.
