Covington- Janis Lyn Reich, 57, of Covington, formerly of Danville, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on September 15, 1954 in Danville to Robert E. and Neva M. Elliot Johnson. Surviving is a son, Kirby Reich of Covington, IN; sister Carol Golden of Bismarck; brother Robert (Carolyn) Johnson of Danville; sister-in-law Chris Johnson of Henning; long-time companion Daryl Stottlemyer of Covington; special-friends Karen and Ozzie Osborn, Joe and Cindy Jett, and Susie and Sonny Keller; and five nieces and nephews, Brad Johnson, Chris Johnson, Heather Golden, Chad Johnson, and Rob Golden. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Mikel Johnson and brother in-law Brad Golden. Janis was a graduate of Bismarck-Henning High School. She had been a veterinarian's assistant for many years, but most recently had worked at Krupp Gerlach in Danville. She will be remembered as a fun-loving person who enjoyed partying. Janis also enjoyed shopping, riding motorcycles, and playing cards in her euchre club. She also liked tennis and was very involved in her bowling league. A service to celebrate the life of Janis Reich will be held at 10 AM on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Miles Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday, February 23, also at Sunset in Danville.
