Janice Mead

Janice Marie "Jan" Mead, 59, of Covington, IN passed away at her home on Sunday February 4th, 2018. Janice was born on March 15th, 1958 in Danville, IL the daughter of Roy and Verna (Messick) Hughes. Janice married the love of her life Robert Mead on July 29, 1985 in Portland Arch Church in IN. Bob survives. Janice also leaves behind her parents, one son; Jason (Donna) Mead, three grandchildren Michael, Katelynn and Shawn and one great grandson Matthew, one brother; Roy (Sherrie) Hughes Jr. and one sister; Donna (John) Clark. Janice was preceded in death by her grandparents. Janice worked for over twenty years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a Blue Chip Coordinator. Family was the most important thing to Janice she loved to go with Bob to the NASCAR races and also to the Dirt Track races. She also loved staying in their camper, making new friends and seeing old friends they had made. A Celebration of Janice's life will be held on Wednesday February 7th, 2018 at 7:30 pm Indiana time at Sunset's Covington Chapel 420 3rd ST Covington, IN. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-7:30 pm Indiana time Per Janice's wishes cremation rights will be accorded at a later date.
