Janice M. Hawkins

Janice M. Hawkins, 70, of Westville, passed away at 8:00am, Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at home. She was born on February 16, 1947, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Jack and Felicia {Paradiso} Hawkins, both deceased. Janice had formerly worked for First National Bank in Westville, as well as, Provena USMC, and also the Women's Shelter. She enjoyed socializing and playing the Poker Machines. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by: her children, John (Deborah) Hubbard of Hazleton, IN, Justin Sergent of Danville, and Mia Leverenz of Danville; her grandchildren, Brooke Hubbard, Cody Hubbard, Johnny Leverenz, Jenna Leverenz, & Nevaeh Sergent; her sister, Jackie (Frank) Land of Georgetown; her special niece, Missy (Erik) Hill; and her special friend, TJ Hancock of Westville. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jancy Hubbard. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State ST, Westville, with Dale DeNeal officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to the Food Pantry at the First Church of Christ in Georgetown.
