Janice Gail Mcbride

Janice Gail McBride, 70, of Danville passed away on August 12, 2008 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Janice was born on March 5, 1938 in Danville the daughter of Howard J and Edith Dorothy Lonbom Emory. Janice was the beloved wife of Glen D. McBride whom she married on July 8, 1956 at Lincoln United Methodist Church. She was the cherished mother of Glen (Karen) McBride Jr. of Columbia, MO., Debra (James) Fowler of Greenville, NC., and Brad (Jackie) McBride of Crawfordsville, IN.; proud grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 3; dear sister Barbara (Mike) Davis of Oakwood. Fond aunt of several nieces and nephews; dearest friend of Mary Jane Burke and Gloria Tapp and the rest of the Grant School group who will remember her always. Janice enjoyed her soap operas, and lunch with the old school friends. She and Glen would travel all over but their favorite trips were the ones every year to Wisconsin, spending time at the cabin on the lake and fishing. A celebration of Janices life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday August 17, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Miles Clark will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday August 16 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Assc. or Crossroads Christian Church.
