Janet Warner, 58, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 8:30pm, Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her home. She was born on January 4, 1965, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Everett and Betty {Jones} Lassiter. She was united in marriage to Keith Warner on December 1, 1990. He will miss her dearly. Janet will also be missed by her children, Kellie (Cory) Eastham, Jennifer (Josh) Hawks, Erika (Joshua) Yates, and Lance (Hadley) Warner; her grandchildren, Carter, Hadlee, Baylee, Liam, Ryker, Marlee, Wylder, and Paxton; her brother, David (Sharon) Lassiter; her sister, Angela Kremers; and her nieces & nephews, Paul, Nicholas, Phillip, Andrew, and Olivia (Cobi) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Michael Lassiter. Janet was a proud Veteran of the US Air Force. She earned her Bachelors degree from St. Louis Christian College and Masters degree from Lincoln Christian University and worked as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She was the chaplain for the Vermillion County Sheriffs Department, Indiana, as well as a pastors wife for 28 years. She enjoyed art, museums, music, education, scrap booking, and crafting. Janets greatest joys came from being a Mom to her children and a Nana to her grandchildren and taking care of her dog, Luna. She was known by many as an encouraging person who had a large impact on the people who surrounded her during her life. Her legacy will live on in the memories she created with those she loved. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00am (Central Time), Friday, August 11, 2023, at First Church of Christ, 503 N Main St, Georgetown, IL. She will be laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery. Her arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, DeVerter Chapel, 215 N. Division Street, Cayuga, IN 47928. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in honor of Jan to the donors choice of charity.
