Cayuga, Ind. - Janet S. Van Camp, 66, of Cayuga and formerly of Newport, passed away at 11:15 a.m. EST Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at The Waters of Scottsburg in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born December 31, 1944 in Vermillion County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ruth Conrad Machlet and Joe Van Camp. Survivors include two nieces, Rhonda Gossett of Kingman, Indiana and LuAnn Breedlove of Hawaii; four nephews, Dwayne Conrad of Kingman, Indiana and Ronnie Conrad of Danville, Illinois; Ronald Stark of Alabama and Bradley Stark of St. John, Indiana; one aunt, Carolyn Estock of Cayuga, Indiana and friend, Phil Fortner of Cayuga, Indiana. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Janet was a retired secretary working for the Federal Government in Washington, D.C. She was a 1962 graduate of Newport High School. Janet enjoyed shopping and traveling. She especially enjoyed her dog, Shaddie. Funeral services: Noon EST Saturday, December 10, 2011 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Debbie Wilson; Burial: Westville Lithuanian Cemetery in Westville, Illinois; Visitation: 11 a.m. EST Saturday, December 10, 2011 until time of services at the funeral home.
