Janet Loden

Clinton, Ind. - Janet Loden, 70, of Clinton and formerly of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 11:14 p.m. EDT Monday, September 23, 2013 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was bornAugust 14, 1943 in rural Cayuga, Indiana, the daughter of the late Clarence Ward and Ellen Jane Henderson Ellis. She married Bob Jean Loden on September 27, 1967 in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2010. Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Jean Loden of Chicago, Illinois; Ellen Louise(Kenny Pilhower)Loden and Roberta Williams, both of Clinton, Indiana; two sons, Bob Loden, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois and George Wayne(Kathy)Loden of Champaign, Illinois; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchilden; six sisters, Margaret Freeman of Georgetown, Illinois; Ivy Cooper of Covington, Indiana; Vera(Eddie)Norman of Tangier, Indiana; Mary(Forrest)Holycross of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Caroline(Ronald)Demoss of Covington, Indiana and Juletta Stonebraker of Cayuga, Indiana; five brothers, Raymond "Pat"(Norma)Ellis of Westville, Illinois; Fred "Chub"(Joy)Ellis of Covington, Indiana; John "Bub"(Karen)Ellis of Newport, Indiana; Jimmy Dale(Connie)Ellis of Portland Arch, Indiana and Harold Doyne(Velsie)Ellis of Cayuga, Indiana. Janet was preceded in death by her son, John Edward Loden; granddaughter, Amanda Renee Loden; three sisters and three brothers. Janet was a member and very active in the Cayuga Community Holiness Church. She was a 1961 graduate of Cayuga High School. Janet enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Sunday, September 29, 2013 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Brother Bobby Shearl; Visitation: Noon EDT Sunday, September 29, 2013 until time of services at the funeral home. Cremation will follow with burial of cremains to be held at a later date in Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the donors favorite charity.
