Janet L. English

Danville- Janet L. English, 77, of Danville was called home to be with Jesus at 7:35 a.m. Monday (Sept. 9, 2013) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, at Faith Baptist Church, 920 Warrington Ave., Danville. A memorial service officiated by Pastor Allan Rudie will follow at 1 p.m. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville is in charge of arrangements. Janet was born on Dec. 29, 1935, in Danville, a daughter of Robert E. and Lottie R. Weidenburner. She married G. Blynn English on May 27, 1955, in Danville. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Danville. Janet was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Blynn; a daughter, Ronimarie (Timothy) Acord of Fairfax Station, Va.; a son-in-law, James I. Miller, of Decatur; three grandchildren, Jennifer A. (Josh) Echols of Decatur, Jared K. (Shannon) Miller of Shelbyville, and Kaleigh Elizabeth Acord of Fairfax Station, Va.; as well as two great granddaughters, Lisa Nichole Echols and Gracie Rae Miller, and two great grandsons, Noah James Miller and Samuel Jacob Miller. In addition, she is survived by two sisters, Nancy Crawley of Danville and Barbara (Larn) Moffitt of Catlin; two brothers, Robert (Nancy) Weidenburner of Bismarck and Max Weidenburner of Tilton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; one sister, Jane Riggs; two brothers-in-law, Wilbur Riggs and Charles Crawley; and by her youngest daughter, Laura Kathleen Miller.
