West Lebanon, Ind. -- Janet Kay Simonton, 67, of West Lebanon and formerly of Eugene, Indiana, passed away at 10:05 p.m. EDT Sunday, April 10, 2011 at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born August 18, 1943 in Eugene, Indiana, the daughter of John Willard and Goldie Tryon Conrad. She first married Harry Sutliff. He preceded her in death. She later married Richard Simonton on July 6, 1995 in Munfordville, Kentucky. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Jennifer(Eric Long)Shoemaker of Hillsboro, Indiana; son, Kye Sutliff of Eugene, Indiana; two step daughters, Sharon Simonton of Attica, Indiana and Tina(Chuck)Bolin of Pence, Indiana; two step sons, Roger(Cindy)Garrison of Cosby, Tennessee and Tim Garrison of Kokomo, Indiana; sixteen grandchildren; her mother and step father, Goldie(Laurence)Ottinger of Eugene, Indiana; two brothers, John(Linda)Conrad of Eugene, Indiana and Jerry(Rhonda)Conrad of Williamsport, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father, John Willard Conrad. Janet retired from Steel Grip in Danville, Illinois as a seamstress in 2007. She was a 1961 graduate of Cayuga High School. Janet was a member of the Illiana Antique Car Club. She enjoyed scrapbooking, sewing, working on crafts and going to flea markets.
