Janet Kay Gonzalez

Danville - Janet Kay Gonzalez, 72, of Danville, IL passed away on July 24, 2017 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, IL at 5:10 PM. Janet was born on July 30, 1944 the daughter of Jesse and Ida (Winters) Keller in Danville, IL Janet married Manuel "Gonzo" Gonzalez on December 22, 1989 in Elsa, TX and he survives. Survivors include her husband, Manuel, two daughters, Janna (Dale Metzer) Trowbridge of Grayling, MI and Laurie Baker of Athens, TX, two brothers, Max (Margaret) Keller and John Keller both of Covington, IN, six grandchildren, David, Mathew, Johnna, Joshua, Gunner and Shawna, as well as six great-grandchildren, Conner, Breanna, Thayer, Madelyn, Rhealynn and Ellis. Janet is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Charles, Leroy, Donald, Francis, Layton and Jake, and one sister, Ruth Ann. Janet was a 1962 graduate of Covington High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending her free time oil painting, drawing, crafting, taking care of her plants, going to thrift stores and yard sales. She loved "The Duke" and enjoyed watching all of John Wayne's movies. Most of all, Janet loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and she will be missed deeply by her entire family. As per Janet's wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Danville, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
