Janet 'Jan' Holm-Fox

JANET JAN HOLM-FOX Janet Jan Holm-Fox, 67, of Danville, passed away at 9:22 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at home. Jan was born on November 24, 1943 in Port Orchard, Washington, the daughter of Roy and Doris (Talman) Holm. Jan graduated from high school in Clinton, Michigan in 1962, where she met Don Sutton and was married in 1962. From that marriage she had one daughter- Robynne (Barry) Evans of Hume. In 1986 she married James Jim Fox in Sidell. He survives. She is also survived by her daughter, three grandchildren, sister- Delores Talman of Yelm, Washington, very special friend- Karen Martin of Danville and a niece, several cousins and many friends in the Danville area. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father- Raymond Frolich. Jan worked for 31 years at the East Central Illinois Community Action Headstart as a teacher. She enjoyed scrapbooking, raising frogs, reading, playing scrabble, playing her Nintendo DS, collecting and was a staunch Democrat. A Celebration of the life of Janet Jan Holm-Fox will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Per her wishes she will be cremated and buried in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
