Jane Hamilton

Jane A. Hamilton, 87, of Dana, Indiana, passed away on Sunday December 29, 2024, at Union Hospital in Clinton, Indiana. Jane was born on August 8, 1937, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Harley and Marjorie Lozier. Jane married LeRoy Hamilton in July of 1955. He preceded her in death.

Jane is survived by; Tamie (Chris) Dowers, Rexi (Rick) Downs, Susan (Keith) Julian, and a son in law Tim Ditto, grandchildren; Randi (Rob) Rippy, Tim (Jackie) Ditto, Michael (Tiffany)Downs, Kacie (Luke) Adams, Shane Hamilton, Shawn (Laura) Hoover, and Parker Hoover, also many great / great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, sister in law Bev Lozier, Emma Frey, Doloris (Wesley) Watt, and brother in law Kenneth Yates.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Tina Ditto, brother Fritz Lozier, and sister Jamie Yates, several brothers and sisters in law.

Jane was a graduate of Bourban High School Class of 1955. She worked many secretarial jobs until she became a full-time stay-at-home mom in the 70’s. Jane enjoyed taking care of others and spent many years taking care of her husband with dialysis three times per week. After LeRoy retired, they spent many winters in Florida. Jane will be missed by all the people who knew and loved her. 

Jane and her family entrusted Sunset DeVerter Chapel with her wishes to be cremated. A private family burial will take place in the spring at Thomas Cemetery where Jane will be laid to rest with LeRoy. At this time the family wishes to have no memorials, but prayers are welcome.
