Danville- Jane G. Stumph, 76, of Danville passed away at 10:55 PM on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on February 11, 1937 in Lebanon, KY to Charles W. and Rosella Farmer Riley. She married William “Jackie” Stumph, Sr. on August 6, 1954 in Lebanon, KY. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2013. She is survived by a son, William “Jack” (Brenda) Stumph, Jr. of Crawfordsville, IN and a daughter, Pat (Gayland) Weixeldorfer of Tuscon, AZ; two sisters, Mildred Jackson of Hoopeston, and Sarah Cox of Lebanon, KY; three grandchildren, William “Bill” (Vanessa) Stumph III, Robert “Bobby” (Cassie) Stumph, and Teri Lynn Underwood; and three great-grandchildren, William “Jackson” IV, James “Jimmy”, and Gabriel “Gabe” Stumph. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Melisa Underwood, and eight brothers and sisters. Jane moved to Illinois from Kentucky with her husband Jackie in 1959. She was a talented seamstress and used her gift to make or mend anything that needed it. Jane provided day care for many other families, but also loved to can and spend time tending to her flower garden. Most of all, Jane loved to spend time with her family. A service to celebrate the life of Jane G. Stumph will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Reverend C. Don Ferrill will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9-11 AM prior to the services on Saturday. Memorials may be made to Presence Cancer Center.
