Jane C. Moore

Danville, Ill. -- Jane C. Moore, 84, of Danville, passed away at 6:07 p.m. CST Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born January 20, 1927 in Dana, Indiana, the daughter of the late Carl and Beulah Light Carmack. She married Donald W. Moore on November 30, 1946 in Clinton, Indiana. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1998. Jane is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Moore of Georgetown, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her son, Frank Donald Moore and brother, Jack Carmack. Jane volunteered her time as a secretary at the Vermilion County War Museum in Danville. She was a graduate of Dana High School. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Danville and was a member of the Golden Kiwanis. Jane enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and devoting her free time to the Vermilion County War Museum. Graveside services and burial of cremains will be held at Noon (Indiana Time) Saturday, February, 26, 2011 at Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jimmy Hopper.
