Jan E. Cottle

Jan E. Cottle, born May 20, 1950, in Danville, IL, to Charles and Maxine (Messmore) McBee, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at home with family by her side. Jan had many things she liked to do, playing Yahtzee, enjoying yardwork, going to rummage sales, listening to a variety of music, and uplifting her spirit with Gospel Music. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and cooking. Jan is survived by her dear children, Tammy Curry, and Tina (Avion) Forthenberry; her cherished grandchildren, Devyn Oldani, Alexis Johnson, Amber Wilson, Michael Curry, Jackie Curry and Destinee Curry; Her beloved siblings, Chuck (Kathy) McBee, Mike (Diana) McBee, Kevin (Tammy) McBee, Steve (Tammy) McBee, Allen McBee, Joyce (Dan) Hudson, Debbie (Ron) Sutton, and Kathy Mayo; and by many other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, David McBee; her sister, Crystal Potts; and her nephew, Jason McBee. A celebration of Jan's life will be held at Central Christian Church, 1101 N Vermilion St., Danville, 4 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015, with Reverend Hank Anderson officiating.
